How They Met
As single adults and devout Disney fanatics, Kelly and John met on a Disney fan web site in 2000. Kelly, a divorced mom of two young sons, gladly helping people on the Disney Vacation bulletin board with her travel agent experience. She offered people advice based on her 20+years of experience as an Orlando area travel agent and mom. She specialized in helping families enjoy an Orlando vacation as cheaply as possible, while still having the most fun Orlando has to offer.

John, a former Disney cast member, enjoyed sharing his theme park passions with everyone who would listen. He often posted inside information on Disney web sites to help people enjoy secret discount offers that Disney and Orlando area merchants offered local residents.

Naturally, Kelly and John shared stories and together began helping people in chat rooms plan their Orlando vacations using their combined information. Their passion for theme parks helped fuel their passions for each other, soon love blossomed! Two years later they are married and living just outside of Orlando, Fl. with Kelly’s two young sons.

What began as a hobby, blossomed into a romance which spawned a business, sharing their knowledge, love, and passion for Orlando theme parks with the world- Jointly authoring A Mom’s Miserly Guide: Orlando, Disney & Universal on $25 a Day!

As a professional travel agent for 20+ years, Kelly sent more families to Disney World than anywhere else in the whole world. Even better, she collected notes on their best and worst experiences and will share many of them with you in her book. She knows how to save money –what’s free and what isn’t – she knows where you should go and where you shouldn’t. Kelly & John also live here, in Florida, and know Orlando better than most. They’ve done it, booked it, and experienced it. Best of all – the Orlando Vacation Guide comes with a money back guarantee!

From Kelly, co-author of A Mom’s Miserly Guide: Orlando, Disney & Universal on $25 a Day!

I have been a professional travel agent for almost 20 years and raised two kids on a single mom’s wages for almost twenty years. I didn’t have much money, in fact, most weeks we had just enough to make the bills, with little left over for play. But I was determined that my kids would get to experience all of the great Orlando excitement that the kids of the people I was booking travel for would have. So I had to learn how to see Disney, Universal, Sea World and the rest that Orlando had to offer on less than most of my clients spend on one meal at a theme park. Turns out that was great training for the creation of A Mom’s Miserly Guide: Orlando, Disney & Universal on $25 a Day! Inside the book you will find the best prices, the cheapest tickets, the place to look for Orlando discounts, cheap car rentals, cheap hotels and the cheapest motels in the area. This Guide book names them all!
